The Prom Experience of A Lifetime
By: Kristi Rundell

The day that all students had been waiting for came on June 7th, 2008. The day that they could dress up and have fun, and where they could stay up all night. The excitement was Prom.

The day started out with people dressing up, getting their hair, make-up, and nails done, and taking extreme amounts of pictures with their families. To most families and students, the Prom is a big day. “My best friend's mom loves pictures, and she took about 200 of them and it took us an hour,” said Brittany Mau, a Senior.

Not only were people excited about their dresses and Prom itself, but many rented limousines for this special occasion. They rode in style, showing up in the nicest limos and telling their friends. Those who didn't rent a limo rented really nice sports cars or drove their best family car.

One group had a limo that broke down on the way to prom. “It was a bummer when the limo broke down, since we thought we would be late to prom. But little did we know that it was actually a lot of fun. We had a blast, and it just made the night even better,” said Shawn Taylor, a Senior.

People like this are people who make the best of Prom. Others like this were the people who danced the night away. They had a ton of fun, and even through the bad music they still made it fun. One of the best times at Prom was coronation. The people on the Prom court came out in couples, and everyone cheered. Mr. Rothman, the principal, announced the Prince and Princess, Dan Arseneau and Katelyn Stalter, and the Prom King and Queen, Shawn Taylor and Kristi Rundell.

The night quickly came to a close, but not in poor spirits. Everyone had a great time, and most went on to celebrate at the infamous After Prom Party.
